Wine Tasting in the Macedon Ranges

  • Curly Flat (Kat's Favourite)

Curly Flat was developed from 1989 by Phillip Moraghan and Jenifer Kolkka after the greenfield site had been identified as ideal for growing the early ripening varieties of pinot noir and chardonnay. In 2017, Jenifer became the sole owner of Curly Flat. Under her leadership, the winery’s reputation for high-quality winemaking continues. Jenifer and her team, led by winemaker Matt Harrop, are fully committed to producing the best possible wines from the carefully nurtured site.

  • Mount Towrong (Xave's Favourite)

The closest winery to our house, the friendly folk at MT put on a great lunch of random Italian cuisine and experimental grapes.

Situated at 600 metres above sea level with direct views of Mount Macedon and Mount Towrong.

  • Mount Monument

Mount Monument Cellar Door & Sculpture Park offers a delicious cellar door menu featuring local produce paired with a wine tasting. Must be pre-booked in advance.

  • Granite Hills

Our favourite Riesling from the region.

Over half a century of classic cool climate wines from the Macedon Ranges wine region in Victoria.

  • Mount Macedon Winery

Just down the road from us, they do great wood fire pizzas and have stunning views.

The fertile volcanic soil at MMW was first farmed as a dairy and then many years later, a blueberry farm before the first vines were planted in 1989 by Don and Pam Ludby. Several years after the initial planting and when the vineyard had become fully established, MMW had ties with Olivia Newton-John's own wine label under her Koala Blue wine range.

  • Passing Clouds

    Our favourite for heavier reds.

Passing Clouds is fortunate to operate in both the Macedon Ranges and Bendigo. Our Estate vineyard is in Musk and is run using biodynamic and regenerative agricultural principles and is the source of our premium Pinot Noir and Chardonnay but we also work with four other growers, 3 in Bendigo and one in Port Philip, just outside the township of Kilmore.
